Environmental Services

This program was developed by Members in Southern Ontario to address the increased need to provide education for Front Line Workers in Healthcare Facilities, Hospitality, Educational Facilities, and Contract Cleaning.

The course addresses the importance of proper techniques and practices to reduce the risk of infection in all facilities.

The course uses recommendations from “Best Practices for Environmental Cleaning for Prevention and Control of Infections in All Health Care Settings” (2018) by the Ontario Provincial Infection Control Advisory Committee (PIDAC).

This is an online open enrollment course.

The course is completed on-line and each student is assigned a Mentor/Coach to assist with their learning journey. There are eight modules with quizzes, assignment questions and a final exam. The course must be completed within eight months. Students achieving a final grade of 80% will receive a Certification of completion. Once you register, you will receive a link to access the material, and within three business days you will receive your introduction letter, Mentor/Coach assignment and FAQ’s Sheet.
